Superior Livestock Video/Internet Auction (Website Catalog) - Fort Worth, TX
Market information and data is collected throughout the course of the live auction, as the reporter will grade the livestock and record the pertinent information in the reporting tool. Information that the reporter must record for each lot includes the official USDA grade, weight, head count, and selling price. To ensure the accuracy of these reports, each Market Reporter is required to take a written test and apply their skills during an official live animal grading correlation with their supervisor every two years.
This is a weekly/monthly/seasonal auction report containing prices paid for livestock. Livestock are offered for sale and viewed via video feed. All livestock included in this report are graded and reported according to official USDA live animal standards or guidelines. Load lots of livestock are sold on contract for immediate-to-future delivery. Reports are organized based on USDA’s LPGMN formatting guidelines and instructions, under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service. This report is a weighted average report released on the current day after completion of the sale.

Illinois Production Cost Report (Bi-weekly)
Price information is collected remotely through phone communication, email, and company websites. Contact visits are made periodically to verify the price information is accurate, unbiased, and relevant to the report. Reporters reserve the right to exclude insignificant data sets or outliers that are not consistent with the majority of the trades or asking prices. To ensure accuracy of these reports, reporters are recertified every two years.
This report contains price information on the input cost incurred in farm production. Price information is categorized into fuels, synthetic fertilizers, and organic fertilizers. The report is updated on either a monthly or bi-weekly basis reflecting trade information for the current week’s reporting period. Price information for individual commodities is displayed in a low/high spread and simple average price. Reports are released by USDA’s Livestock, Poultry, and Grain Market News Division under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service.
