The Class and Component Prices are calculated using the most recent four or five weeks (since the last monthly Announcement of Class and Component Prices) from the latest National Dairy Products Sales Report (NDPSR). These prices are published on or before the 5th of each month. This report contains prices per pound or hundredweight for Federal milk marketing order components for Class II, III, and IV dairy products and applies to all milk received during the previous month.

Wyoming-Nebraska Direct Cattle Report
Price information is collected remotely through phone communication and email correspondences with cattle dealers, backgrounders, feedlots, and producers. Contact visits are made periodically to verify price information and quality assessment is accurate, unbiased and relevant to the report. Dual party verification is used to verify trades, and reporters reserve the right to exclude any trades that cannot be verified. Reporters also reserve the right to exclude insignificant data sets (outliers) that are not consistent with the bulk of the trade. To ensure accuracy of these reports, reporters are recertified every two years.
This report is a weekly cattle report containing direct trades of feeder and replacement cattle. Cattle are classified and graded using official USDA feeder cattle standards and replacement cattle guidelines. Price information is released by USDA’s Livestock, Poultry, and Grain Market News Division under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service. This report is a weighted average report.

Advanced Prices and Pricing Factors are published on or before the 23rd of each month. This report contains Class I Price, Class II Skim Milk Price, Class II Nonfat Solids Price, as well as milk product prices (two-week averages), the diesel fuel and mileage rate factor for the current month. These prices apply to all milk received during the following month. In addition, the Advanced Prices and Pricing Factors are calculated using the most recent two weeks of data from the latest National Dairy Products Sales Report (NDPSR).
