This report contains price information on domestic trades of US wool. Wool is classed and graded based on USDA Grades and Standards. Price information is released by USDA’s Livestock, Poultry, and Grain Market News Division under the Voluntary Price Reporting authority of USDA’s Agriculture Marketing Service. This report is released weekly and will display national and regional weighted average prices for establish trades that meet confidentiality parameters over a two-week time period. Once a price is published, that price information is no longer used in the following week’s release to prevent duplication of data. The report also contains weekly updates of price information from the Australian Wool Exchange and Australian Wool Report that serves as a basis for much of the pricing in the United States.

Grain commodities are classed and graded based on official USDA standards or guidelines for coarse grains, oilseeds, and/or pulses. This report contains price spreads and simple averages for individual grain commodities and may include a basis calculated from the current day or prior day close of a publicly traded futures price.
