To ensure the accuracy of these reports, each Market Reporter is required to take a written test and apply their skills during an official live animal grading correlation with their supervisor every two years.

Price information is collected remotely through phone communication and email correspondences with cattle dealers, backgrounders, feedlots, and producers. Contact visits are made periodically to verify price information and quality assessment is accurate, unbiased and relevant to the report. Dual party verification is used to verify trades, and reporters reserve the right to exclude any trades that cannot be verified. Reporters also reserve the right to exclude insignificant data sets (outliers) that are not consistent with the bulk of the trade. To ensure accuracy of these reports, reporters are recertified every two years.
