The Forward Contracting Report is published in the Weekly Cotton Market Review on the first Friday of the month, with the exception of Friday being the first day of the month. The report contains the number of acres that have been forward contracted for each cotton producing state along with the cumulative total for each of the four Upland Cotton Regions.The report contains an estimate for the year in which the crop is to be planted, referred to as the crop year. The first estimate will include all cotton contracted for that crop year through the end of January. End-of-month estimates will continue through the end of October, and the end of October report will be the last report for that crop year.
