USDA CARLOT VEAL CARCASS REPORT - Northeast and North Central Basis

Compared to last week: The special fed veal carcass market was steady to
firm on comparable sales of non packer owned calves and packer owned
calves. Demand was light to moderate on light to moderate offerings.
Harvest numbers were 4.6 percent lower compared to last week's
total. Dressed weights were up 4.7 pounds in the Northeast, down 7.5
pounds in the North Central, with the total NE & NC being up 0 pounds.

 Represents calves harvested Thursday through Saturday of last week.
VEAL CARCASS, SPECIAL FED, HOT BASIS-PAID TO PRODUCER - FOB BASIS
 Includes previously committed contract and open market calves.
