Eastern Cornbelt Direct Feeder Cattle Summary
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Kentucky

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers were to lightly
tested on FOB Basis for an accurate market trend.  Demand moderate to
good.  Supply included 92 percent over 600 lbs; 74 percent heifers. 
Prices based on net weights FOB after a 3 percent shrink or equivalent
and 5-10 cent slide on calves and 4-6 cent slide on yearlings from base
weights.  Delivered prices include freight, commissions and other
expenses.  Current sales are up to 14 days delivery.
