The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending 
October 17, 2017 were mixed. Soybean Meal was steady to 15.40 higher, mostly 5.40 
higher. Cottonseed Meal was mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher, mostly steady. Whole 
Cottonseed was steady to 45.00 lower. Canola Meal was mixed 0.40 lower to 10.40 
higher. Linseed Meal was steady Sunflower Meal was steady to 5.00 higher. Crude 
Soybean Oil was 48 points higher. Crude Corn Oil was steady. Ruminant Meat and Bone 
Meal was mixed, 40.00 lower to 10.00 higher, mostly steady to 30.00 lower. Ruminant 
Blood Meal was steady to 50.00 lower. Feather Meal was steady to 15.00 lower. 
Menhaden Fishmeal was steady. Corn Hominy was mixed, 3.00 lower to 2.00 higher, 
mostly steady. Corn Gluten Feed was steady. Corn Gluten Meal was mixed, 13.00 lower 
to 20.00 higher. Distillers Dried Grain was mixed, 5.00 lower to 21.00 higher. Wheat 
Middlings were mixed, 17.00 lower to 11.00 higher. Wheat millrun was steady.

Oilseeds: The December Soybean Meal futures closed 5.40 higher at 321.60, January 
closed 5.60 higher at 323.90. The December Soybean Oil futures closed 48 points 
higher at 33.59 cents per pound, January closed 45 points higher at 33.74 cents per 
pound. Soybean Meal in Central Illinois was 4.40 to 15.40 higher from 321.60-324.60; 
Indiana-Ohio was 5.40 higher from 306.60-316.60; Iowa was 5.40 higher from 283.60-
303.60; Kansas City was 5.40 higher from 307.60-313.60; Minneapolis 3.40 to 5.40 
higher from 280.60-297.60; St. Louis was 1.00 higher from 332.00-337.00; Memphis was 
9.00 to 10.00 higher from 334.50-346.50; Portland was steady to 4.40 higher from 
345.60-358.00; BN Santa Fe delivered Chino Valley was 3.40 to 5.40 higher from 
349.60-353.60; Union Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 5.40 to 7.40 higher from 
349.60-351.60. Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California 
steady to from 250.00-270.00; Kansas City was 235.00; St. Louis was steady at 265.00; 
Memphis was mixed, 10.00 lower to 5.00 higher from 220.00-235.00. Whole Cottonseed 
FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to 45.00 lower from 
285.00-310.00; delivered to Portland was steady from 280.00-300.00; Memphis was 5.00 
lower at 150.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent protein, 
delivered to Portland was steady to 0.60 lower from 254.60-270.00; Minneapolis was 
5.40 to 10.40 higher from 191.60-196.60. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was steady in 
North Dakota-Minnesota from 215.00-220.00. Sunflower Meal, 23 pct fiber, 28 pct 
protein was steady to 5.00 higher from 150.00-165.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota 
area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 48 points higher from 31.09-33.34 cents 
per pound; Indiana-Ohio was 48 points higher from 33.34-34.09 cents per pound; Iowa 
was 48 points higher at 32.84 cents per pound; Minnesota was 48 points higher at 
32.84 cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was steady from 35.00-35.75

220.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle was mixed, 10.00 lower to 10.00 higher from 190.00-
195.00; Minneapolis was 25.00 to 30.00 lower from 225.00-230.00; Kansas City was 
40.00 lower at 190.00; St. Louis was 30.00 lower at 210.00; Portland FOB production 
points was steady to 10.00 lower from 230.00-270.00; FOB Central and Northern 
California was steady from 270.00-285.00; FOB Los Angeles was steady from 270.00-
285.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; Eastern Corn Belt 
was steady at 250.00; Minneapolis ranged 250.00-260.00; St. Louis steady at 250.00. 
Ruminant Blood Meal in the Central U.S. ranged 575.00-625.00; FOB the Texas Panhandle 
was not established; Minneapolis was steady to 50.00 lower from 560.00-625.00; 
delivered to the San Joaquin Valley was steady with limited trade at 750.00. Pork 
Blood Meal in the Central U.S. had no quote; Eastern Corn Belt was 80.00 lower at 
590.00; Minneapolis had limited trade steady at 650.00. Feather Meal in Kansas City 
was steady from 365.00-400.00; Minneapolis was steady to 15.00 lower from 385.00-
415.00; Arkansas had limited trade steady from 345.00-355.00; Mississippi was steady 
from 335.00-340.00. Menhaden Fishmeal in the Gulf having FAQ Quality was steady from 
1250.00-1305.00; Select Quality was steady from 1250.00-1305.00. Menhaden Fishmeal at 
the East Coast FAQ Quality was steady from 1305.00-1350.00; and Select Quality was 
steady from 1305.00-1350.00.

CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was steady at 86.00 for rail, 
truck was mixed, 3.00 lower to 2.00 higher from 85.00-92.00. Kansas City (Northwest) 
was steady at 90.00; St. Louis was steady at 98.00; California rail was steady with 
limited trade at 160.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was steady from 
70.00-85.00; Kansas City was steady from 135.00-140.00; St. Louis was steady from 
128.00-140.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was 
steady to 13.00 lower from 460.00-470.00; Kansas City was 5.00 higher at 550.00; St. 
Louis was steady to 20.00 higher from 540.00-550.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in 
Eastern Corn-belt were steady to 5.00 higher from 105.00-130.00; Chicago area steady 
to 5.00 lower at 115.00; Nebraska was steady to 2.00 higher from 110.00-125.00; 
Minnesota steady to 5.00 higher from 107.00-115.00; Kansas was 5.00 to 21.00 higher 
from 125.00-150.00; Iowa was steady from 100.00-114.00; Northern Missouri was steady

WHEAT MILLFEEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY were 3.00 to 5.00 higher from 78.00-
80.00; Kansas City was steady to 11.00 higher from 63.00-85.00; Minneapolis was 
steady from 60.00-80.00; St. Louis was mixed, 17.00 lower to 5.00 higher from 98.00-
115.00. Wheat Millrun delivered Portland was steady at 120.00; FOB Los Angeles mill 
was steady from 105.00-131.00.

OTHERS: In the south Rice Bran, Millfeed and Rice Hulls were steady. In California, 
Rice Bran prices were steady to firm. Alfalfa Meal prices were steady across the 
nation this past week.
