Minnesota Feedstuffs - Prices for the week ending Tuesday, October 17, 2017
**All prices are quoted per ton, unless otherwise noted. **

Feedstuffs were mostly mixed. Demand was light for animal protein, moderate for 
oilseeds and wheat middlings.

Oilseeds:
   The December Soybean Meal futures closed 5.40 higher at 321.60, January closed 
5.60 higher at 323.90. The December Soybean Oil futures closed 48 points higher at 
33.59 cents per pound, January closed 45 points higher at 33.74 cents per pound. The 
Truck delivery of high protein Soybean Meal in Minnesota was 3.40 to 5.40 higher from 
280.60-297.60, the basis was steady to 2.00 lower from 41.00 to 24.00 under the 
December futures. Linseed Meal, 34 pct protein was steady from 215.00-220.00 in the 
North Dakota-Minnesota area. Sunflower Meal, 13 pct fiber, 34 pct protein was steady 
to 5.00 higher from 150.00-165.00 in the North Dakota-Minnesota area. Canola Meal was 
5.40 to 10.40 higher from 191.60-196.60 with the basis steady to 5.00 higher from 
130.00 to 125.00 under the December Soybean Meal futures. Soybean Oil in Minnesota 
was 48 points higher at 32.84 cents per pound; the basis was steady at 75 points 
under the December futures.

Animal Protein: 
   Meat and Bone Meal, 50 pct protein was 25.00 to 30.00 lower from 225.00-230.00; 
Pork ranged 250.00-260.00. Yellow Grease was 50 to 75 points lower from 24.50-25.75 
cents per pound. Choice White Grease was 50 points lower from 25.00-27.00 cents per 
pound. Feather Meal was steady to 15.00 lower from 385.00-415.00. Blood Meal was 
steady to 50.00 lower from 560.00-625.00; Pork had limited trade steady at 650.00.

Millfeeds:
  Wheat Middlings were steady from 60.00-80.00. The Sacked Bran was steady at 23.00 
cwt.

Bids/Offers prices are bulk per ton, in carlots unless specified. Animal ingredients 
are delivered MPLS, other ingredients are FOB.
