NEW YORK APPLES FOR PROCESSING       
2017 CROP       
Movement of apples for juice stock and canners/peelers from tree picked               
storable apples, packinghouse sorts or lower grade apples for immediate use,               
is expected to remain about the same. Supply is fairly light. Trading is 
active. Prices Juice Stock from tree picked storable apples and 
packinghouse sorts slightly higher, others steady. Many growers are 
finishing harvest this week in some areas of New York.  The completion of 
harvest across the rest of the State should be near completion within the 
next 10 days. Purchase prices listed below are variety, size and quality 
dependent.               
              
Prices for processing apples on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 F.O.B. packing               
house or receiving station per cwt. 2017 crop:              
              
Juice Stock - (Utilizing All Available Varieties from tree picked storable               
apples and packinghouse sorts) $9.00-$12.50 mostly $11.00-$12.00 occasional 
higher. Juice Stock lower grade apples for immediate use have been reported 
at: $7.00-$7.50 Prices listed include previous commitments.  

Canners/Peelers - (Utilizing All Available Varieties from tree picked 
storable apples and packinghouse sorts) $13.00-$14.50. Prices listed include 
previous commitments.
