Grower bids for corn and soybeans were steady. Contracted Commodities are being moved this week and harvest is underway. NASS crop progress report October 2, 2017 has Louisiana soybeans at 72%, Arkansas has 41% soybeans, Kentucky has 70% corn and 20% soybeans, Tennessee has 88% corn and 27% soybeans, Texas has corn at 73% and soybeans at 40%, Kansas has corn 44% and 6% soybeans, Missouri has corn at 24% and 12% soybeans at 1%, Illinois has 40% corn and 15% soybeans, Indiana has 23% corn and 14% soybeans, North Dakota has 6% corn and 41% soybeans, Iowa has 9% corn and 19% soybeans, Michigan has 1% corn and 4% soybeans, North Carolina has 89% corn and soybeans at 9%, Ohio has 12% corn and 11% soybeans, South Dakota has 11% corn and soybeans at 35%, Wisconsin has 5% corn and 7% soybeans, Minnesota has 7% corn and 36% soybeans, Nebraska has 14% corn and soybeans at 24% and Mississippi soybeans at 64%, Colorado has 8% corn, Michigan has 5% corn and 1% soybeans. AMS average cash reports closes October 3, 2017; corn was 3.13 with a range of 3.03-3.24 and soybeans was 8.87 with a range of 8.82-8.93. Regions are defined at bottom of report.
