TURKEY: Daily National Turkey Market-At-A-Glance.

DOMESTIC MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

The market on frozen 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms is steady to weak with some not 
weeing the weakness other are.  Demand light to instances moderate.  The November 
fresh whole turkey market for November is steady to barely steady.  Fresh demand for 
November light to moderate with some finding interest disappointing.  Processor 
offerings of frozen Grade A 8-16 lb. hens and 16-24 lb. toms mixed, mostly moderate.  
Frozen Grade A basted equivalent processor offering prices on a national basis from 
2017 production for hens are 85.00-103.00 cents FOB and 16-24 lb. toms 85.00-103.00 
cents FOB for current deliveries.  No fresh trading reported.  Frozen trading slow on 
frozen basted equivalent 8-16 lb. hens at 93.00-99.50 cents FOB for current 
deliveries. 

The market on tom breast meat is steady while tenderloins are steady to firm.  Demand 
moderate to good.  Offerings very light to moderate.  The market on breast trim is 
steady to firm, scapula steady to barely steady with frozen softest, and wing meat 
with skin about steady.  Demand light to good, mostly light to moderate.  Offerings 
light to moderate with frozen scapula the most available.  The market on bone-in 
breasts is steady to barely steady.  Demand light to moderate.  Offerings moderate.  
The market on tom drums is steady to firm while tom wings and necks are steady to 
weak.  Demand on tom drums moderate to good, balance of tom bulk parts light to 
moderate.  Offerings very light to moderate with tom drums the least available.  The 
market on frozen thigh meat is steady to firm while fresh is steady.  Demand moderate 
to good.  Offerings of frozen thigh meat very light while fresh is light to moderate.  
The mechanically separated turkey (MST) market is steady.  Demand and offerings light 
to moderate.  Trading slow with fresh MST noted going to pet foods. 


EXPORT MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Trading moderate on fresh and frozen tom necks for export, balance light to moderate.  
Some frozen basted equivalent Grade A hens and 16-24 lb. toms traded at 91 cents fob 
for export.  The market is steady to firm on frozen thigh meat and tom drums, MST 
about steady, tom necks steady to weak.  Demand light to moderate.  Offerings mixed, 
mostly light to moderate.
