   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice.  Live FOB
steers 1,410 lbs at 173.93, heifers 1,281 lbs at 173.84.  Dressed 
delivered steers 917 lbs at 280.94, heifers 799 lbs at 280.92.  Weekly 
boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 309.41, up 
0.11 and Select 288.49. up 0.15.
  Nation al direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Compared to last week, early 
weaned pigs are steady and feeder pigs are lower on light supplies.  
Demand is moderate for moderate offerings.  Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash 
basis 13.86; 40 lbs cash basis 53.49.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs price was not compared at 
54.70.  Sows live price 300-449 lbs 20.12, 450-499 lbs 23.96, and 500-549 
lbs 25.16.
   SC Grain on Monday:  Corn was steady to 5 cents lower; elevator bids 
5.59-7.26, processor bids 6.76-7.46.  Soybeans were 2 to 3 cents lower; 
elevator bids 13.33-14.53, processor bid 15.33 and export N/A.  New Crop 
wheat bids were mostly 4 to 6 cents lower; elevator bids 5.43-5.94.
   Cotton on Monday.  Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.85 
lower at 82.80.
