SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  No comparisons due to limited 
comparable sales this week.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 136.00-153.00, 500-600 lbs 132.00-148.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 134.00-162.00; 500-600 lbs 128.00-135.00.  Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 125.00-137.00; 500-600 lbs 120.00-
130.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 59.00-67.00; Boners 80-85% 
lean 52.00-77.00; Lean 85-90% lean 58.00-63.00; Lean Low Dressing 51.00-
53.00. Slaughter bulls: 1055-1985 lbs 62.00-102.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Small 1-2 725-750 lbs young to middle aged 
cows with 150 lbs or less calves 600.00 per pair. Med-Large 1-2 965-1000 lbs
young to middle aged cows with 150 lbs or less calves 700.00-825.00.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.74 higher at 61.54.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 58.09; 450-500 lbs 64.66; 500-550 lbs 66.78.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 3 cents lower; elevator bids 3.84-3.95,
 processor bids 3.85-4.35.  Soybeans were 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids
 7.39-7.84, processor bid 8.34, and export 8.37.  New crop wheat bids were 
steady to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 4.19-4.49.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.87 
lower at 69.06.
