SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder cattle 
were 2.00 lower based on limited comparable sales. Feeder Steers: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 142.50-160.00, 500-600 lbs 136.00-145.00.  
Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 126.00-155.00, 500-600 lbs 
125.00-145.00.  Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 126.00-
142.50, 500-600 lbs 120.00-132.00. Slaughter cows were mostly steady. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 52.00-65.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
53.00-74.00; Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-64.00; Lean low dressing 32.00-48.00.  
Slaughter bulls were steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 945-2085 lbs 55.00-89.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1275 lbs Young to Middle 
age cow with calf Over 300 lbs 1090.00 per pair. Medium 2 1030-1110 lbs 
Young to Middle Age cows with calves 150-300 lbs 790.00-875.00 per pair. 
Medium 2 930-990 lbs Young to Middle Age cows with calves Under 150 lbs 
860.00-1070.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 690 lbs Young age cow with calf Over 
300s lbs 890.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.40 higher at 63.50.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 57.38; 450-500 lbs 63.17; 500-550 lbs 64.67. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  New Crop Corn was 2 to 3 cents higher; elevator 
bids 4.09-4.14, processor bids 4.14-4.44.  Soybeans were 6 to 7 cents 
lower; elevator bids 7.42-7.87, processor bid 8.38, and export 8.40.  New 
Crop Wheat was 2 cents higher; elevator bids 4.19-4.49. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.37 
lower at 69.93.
