SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  No comparisons due to limited 
comparable sales this week.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 141.00-170.00, 500-600 lbs N/A.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 141.00-165.00; 500-600 lbs 136.00-144.00.  Feeder Heifers: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 128.00-151.00; 500-600 lbs 125.00-
138.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 55.00-64.00; Boners 80-85% 
lean 51.00-74.00; Lean 85-90% lean 52.00-64.00; Lean Low Dressing 34.00-
50.00. Slaughter bulls: 1030-1960 lbs 84.00-93.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Small to Medium 1-2 665-1055 lbs young to middle aged 
cows with 100-310 lbs calves 490.00-1025.00 per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.58 higher at 61.69.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 55.76; 450-500 lbs 60.76; 500-550 lbs 63.13.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  New Crop corn was 5 to 6 cents higher; 
elevator bids 4.11-4.16, processor bids 4.16-4.46.  Soybeans were mostly 
2 cents lower and one location was 6 cents higher; elevator bids 7.64-
8.09, processor bid 8.59, and export 8.59.  New crop wheat bids were 7 to 
8 cents higher; elevator bids 4.16-4.46.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.07 
lower at 73.46.
