SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder cattle 
were steady. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 154.00-
174.00, 500-600 lbs 148.00-170.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 152.00-172.00, 500-600 lbs 145.00-156.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 136.00-152.00, 500-600 lbs 
125.00-140.00. Slaughter cows were steady to 5.00 higher.  Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 53.00-68.00; Boners 85-85% lean 56.00-74.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-62.00; Lean low dressing 30.00-49.00.  Slaughter 
bulls were steady to 5.00 higher.  Slaughter Bulls: 1290-2190 lbs 77.00-
98.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 930-1140 lbs Young to Middle age 
cows with 215-385 lbs calves 985.00-1325.00 per pair.  Small to Medium 1-
2 665-985 lbs Young age to Aged cows with 110-320 lbs calves 650.00-
1080.00 per pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.37 higher at 61.53.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 50.92; 450-500 lbs 54.06; 500-550 lbs 57.03. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  Corn was 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.03-
4.10, processor bids 4.08-4.38.  Soybeans were 10 to 15 cents lower; 
elevator bids 7.87-8.32, processor bid 8.82, and export 8.82.  New Crop 
Wheat was mostly 3 to 4 cents higher; elevator bids 4.25-4.55. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.56 
lower at 74.66.
