SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder cattle 
were 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
155.00-170.00, 500-600 lbs 148.00-159.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 148.00-165.00, 500-600 lbs 130.00-163.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 130.00-147.00, 500-600 lbs 
129.00-141.00. Slaughter cows were steady to 4.00 higher.  Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 52.00-61.00; Boners 85-85% lean 55.00-68.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 48.00-59.00; Lean low dressing 38.00-48.00. Slaughter 
bulls were steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 1065-1885 lbs 72.00-95.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 980-1325 lbs Young to Middle age 
cows with 60-335 lbs calves 800.00-1325.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 700-875
lbs Young to Middle age cows with 115-335 lbs calves 500.00-1075.00 per 
pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.20 higher at 58.85.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 46.17; 450-500 lbs 51.40; 500-550 lbs 53.78. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday.  Corn was 3 to 4 cents lower; elevator bids 4.11-
4.18, processor bids 4.16-4.46.  Soybeans were 10 cents lower and one 
location was 11 cents lower; elevator bids 8.13-8.58, processor bid 9.03, 
and export 9.08.  New Crop Wheat was mostly 14 to 15 cents lower; 
elevator bids 4.28-4.58. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.07 
higher at 75.31.
