SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week, feeder
cattle were steady to 3.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large
1-2 400-500 lbs 155.00-167.00, 500-600 lbs 139.00-147.00.  Feeder Bulls:
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 137.00-167.00; 500-600 lbs 130.00-144.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 134.00-145.00; 500-600 lbs
128.00-133.00.  Slaughter cattle were mostly steady. Slaughter cows:
Breakers 75-80% lean 47.00-53.00; Boners 80-85% lean 41.00-58.00;
Lean 85-90% lean 44.00-51.00; Lean Low Dressing 31.00-40.00. Slaughter bulls: 
1190-1905 lbs 69.00-82.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  [28 pr] Medium 1-2 850-1010 lbs young to middle 
aged cows with 80-355 lbs calves 760.00-1025.00 per pair. Small 1-2 600-
885 lbs young to middle aged cows with 80-285 lbs calves 430.00-850.00 
per pair.  
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.43 higher at 59.12.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 44.57; 450-500 lbs 49.07; 500-550 lbs 51.11.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was 1 to 2 cents higher; elevator bids 3.88-4.01,
processor bids 3.92-4.42.  Soybeans were 3 to 3 cents higher; elevator bids 8.27-8.72,
processor bid 9.17, and export 9.22.  New crop wheat bids were mostly 2 to 3 cents lower;
elevator bids 4.41-4.71.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.47 
lower at 74.37.
