SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,409 lbs. at 125.30, heifers 1,293 lbs. at 125.01. Dressed delivered
steers 920 lbs. at 204.41, heifers 829 lbs. at 204.84.  
Weekly boxed beef cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 
226.48, dn 1.72, and Select 219.09, dn 0.24.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs were 2.00 
per head higher.  All feeder pigs 8.00 per head higher on very light 
receipts. Demand moderate for moderate offerings. Receipts include 48% 
formulated prices. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 61.43; 40 lbs cash 
basis 95.40.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.32 higher at 58.62.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 43.72, 450-499 lbs 47.31, and 500-549 lbs 
48.63.
   SC Grain on Monday. Corn was 2 to 3 cents lower; elevator 
bids 3.86-4.00, processor bids 3.90-4.40.  Soybeans were steady to 1 cent 
lower; elevator bids 8.23-8.68, processor bid 9.14, export bid 9.19.  
New crop wheat was steady to 3 cents lower; elevator bids 4.49-4.78. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.67 
higher at 75.67.
