SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday: Compared to last week, feeder cattle
were steady to 5.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 144.00-160.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-155.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 132.00-160.00, 500-600 lbs 120.00-140.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 122.00-138.00, 500-600 lbs 
114.00-134.00.  Slaughter cows were steady to 4.00 higher.  Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 53.00-65.00; Boners 80-85% lean 56.00-67.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-64.00; Lean Low Dressing 40.00-52.00. Slaughter 
bulls were steady.  Slaughter Bulls: 1140-1830 lbs 65.00-82.00.
  Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 1145-1395 lbs Young to Middle Age
Cows with 200-395 lbs calves 1000.00-1425.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 515-925
lbs Young to Middle Age cows with 165-270 lbs calves 700.00-950.00 per 
pair.
   Hogs on Monday. Plant delivered base weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs 1.11 higher at 44.40. Sows 
on Monday live price 300-450 lbs 32.76; 450-500 lbs 34.13; 500-550 lbs 
35.41.
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  Corn was steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 
3.35-4.00; processor bids 3.90-4.15.  Soybeans were 6 to 8 cents lower; 
elevator bids 9.14-9.34, processor bid 9.75, and export bid 9.90. New 
crop wheat was steady to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 3.81-4.46. 
   Cotton on Tuesday: Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.24 
higher at 68.52. 
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
