SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,455 109.45, heifers 1,314 lbs 109.52. Dressed delivered
steers 943 lbs 172.43, heifers 851 lbs 172.92.  Weekly boxed beef 
cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 197.39, up 1.58, 
and Select 188.57, dn 1.73.
  National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs 4.00 per
head higher.  All feeder pigs steady on light receipts. Demand moderate 
for moderate offerings. Receipts include 65% formulated prices. Feeder 
pigs 10-12 lbs cash basis 28.72; 40 lbs cash basis 41.38.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.38 higher at 41.62. 
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 33.75, 450-499 lbs 33.39, and 500-549 lbs 
34.81.    
   SC Grain on Monday:  Corn was steady to 1 cent lower; elevator bids 
3.34-3.99, processors bids 3.89-4.14. Soybeans were mostly 5 to 6 cents 
cents lower and one location was 16 cents lower; elevator bids 8.96-9.16, 
processor bid 9.56, and export bid 9.71.  New crop wheat was 1 to 7 cents 
lower; elevator bids 3.83-4.49. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade N/A.
