SC Farm Report on Wednesday

  Cattle at SC Auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week, feeder cattle 
were 2.00 lower to 2.00 higher.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-
500 lbs 135.00-151.00, 500-600 lbs 125.00-136.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium 
and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 126.00-153.00; 500-600 lbs 107.00-136.00.  
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 120.00-138.00; 500-600 
lbs 109.00-130.00. Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 3.00 lower.  Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 50.00-57.00; Boners 80-85% lean 50.00-63.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 50.00-65.00; Lean Low Dressing 42.00-56.00.  Slaughter 
bulls were steady to 3.00 lower.  Slaughter bulls: 1060-2165 lbs 72.00-
92.00.
  Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large 1-2 950-1500 lbs Young to Middle Age
cows with 285-425 lbs calves 830.00-1300.00 per pair. 
  Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.09 higher at 38.31.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 32.97; 450-500 lbs 33.00; 500-550 lbs 35.32.
  SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was mostly 1 to 2 cents lower and one 
location was 4 cents higher; elevator bids 3.33-3.98, processor bids 
3.88-4.13.  New crop soybeans were 3 cents higher; elevator bids 8.98-
9.08, processor bid 9.48, and export at 9.63. New crop wheat was 1 to 4 
cents lower; elevator bids 3.86-4.51.  
  Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 1.28
higher at 69.55.
