SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder cattle 
were steady to 2.00 lower.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 
400-500 lbs 129.00-159.00, 500-600 lbs 115.00-143.00.  Feeder Bulls: 
Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 129.00-159.00, 500-600 lbs 115.00-
143.00. Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 118.00-135.00, 
500-600 lbs 114.00-126.00.  Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 4.00 lower. 
Slaughter cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 53.00-71.00; Boners 85-85% lean 
54.00-63.00; Lean 85-90% lean 54.00-60.00; Lean low dressing 30.00-55.00.  
Slaughter Bulls were steady to 2.00 lower.  Slaughter Bulls:  820-2335 
lbs 48.00-88.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium-Large 1-2 905-1175 lbs young to middle aged 
cows with 70-245 lbs calves 680.00-1025.00 per pair. Large 1-2 1110-
1155lbs middle age cows with 225-275lbs calves 1300.00-1350.00 per pair. 
   Hogs on Wednesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 2.11 lower at 36.78.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 33.07; 450-500 lbs 32.36; 500-550 lbs 
34.77. 
   SC Grain on Thursday.  Corn was 2 cents lower; elevator bids 
3.34-3.99, processor bids 3.89-4.09. New Crop soybeans were 2 cents 
lower; elevator bids 8.95-9.05, processor bid 9.45, and export at 9.60. 
New Crop wheat was mostly steady to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 
3.90-4.55.
  Cotton on Tuesday.  Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was .05 
lower at 68.27.
