Broiler/Fryer:  Daily National Broiler Market at-a-Glance


Whole broiler/fryer prices are fairly steady to spots weak on  
three pound and up birds.  Offerings are sufficient for current 
needs. Demand into retail channels is light to moderate. Food 
service demand is light to moderate. Floor stocks are balanced.
Market activity is slow to moderate. In the parts structure, 
tenders are lower, boneless and bone in breasts are weak to lower, 
and wings are steady. Dark meat is weak to steady at best.  
Supplies of wings and dark meat cuts are moderate to heavy; 
tenders, bone in and boneless skinless breasts are available 
to ample. Market activity for parts is slow to moderate. In 
production areas, live supplies are mixed at mostly desirable weights.
