SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


Prices of New York eggs are 5 cents higher for Medium, up 7 cents for
Extra Large and Large.  Regional and California prices are steady.
The undertone is higher in all regions, while higher to sharply higher
in California.  Retail and distributive demand ranges moderate to very 
good, generally fairly good to good.  Offerings are light to instances
moderate.  Supplies remain light to moderate in all areas for current
trade requirements.  Market activity continues active in California
and the Southeast, moderate to active elsewhere.  Breaking stock 
floor stocks are light to moderate for reduced to normal breaking
schedules.  Light type hen demand is light; supplies are moderate
to heavy.
