SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


Prices of New York eggs are down 3 cents on heavier weights and Medium.
Regional and California prices are steady.  The undertone is lower.
Offerings are mostly moderate to heavy, while light to short of needs
for Jumbo in California.  Retail and food service demand is light to
moderate.  Current supplies are moderate to heavy, however moderate
in the South Central and California areas.  Market activity is slow 
to moderate.  Breaking stock offerings are moderate to heavy for the 
moderate to fairly good demand.  Light type hen supplies are light
to moderate for reduced processor needs; demand remains light and 
unaggressive.
