SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


Regional and California prices are steady for Jumbo, 9 to 18 cents lower 
for Extra Large, 10 to 22 cents lower for Large, 3 to 4 cents lower for 
Medium and 4 cents lower for Small.  New York egg prices are 4 cents 
lower for Extra Large and Large, 1 cent lower for Large.  The undertone 
is steady to mostly lower.  Offerings are moderate in most areas, however 
in California offerings are light for Jumbo, moderate to easily available 
for Extra Large and Medium.  Demand remains light to moderate.  Current 
supplies are moderate to heavy in the Northeast, moderate elsewhere.  
Market activity is slow to moderate in all areas.  Breaking stock are 
mixed for the light to moderate demand.  Light type hen supplies are 
light to moderate for normal processing for the light and unaggressive 
demand.
