SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


Prices in New York are 4 cents lower for Extra Large and Large, 1 
cent lower for Medium.  California and regional prices are steady.  
The undertone is mostly lower.  Supplies are moderate to heavy on 
the East coast, moderate in other regions.  Demand into all channels 
is light to fairly good, mostly viewed as light to moderate.  Offerings 
in California are moderate to fully adequate for Large and Medium; light 
to mostly moderate for the balance of sizes.  Elsewhere, offerings are 
moderate to available in the South Central, moderate in remaining areas. 
Market activity is slow to moderate.  Breaking stock supplies are mixed 
for generally normal breaking schedules.  Light type hen supplies are 
sufficient; processing schedules are full-time.
