SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


Regional and California prices are unchanged on Jumbo, 1.5 to 7 cents
lower for Extra Large and Large, down 4 to 5 cents for Medium and 
Small.  New York prices are lower on all sizes.  The undertone is
steady to sharply lower.  Offerings are mostly moderate to available.
Retail and food service demand ranges light to fairly good, generally
light to moderate.  Supplies are moderate to heavy in the Northeast,
varying by location and in a full range in the Southeast, moderate in
the remaining areas.  Market activity is slow to moderate.  Breaking
stock floor stocks are moderate to heavy; breaking schedules are 
full-time.  Light type fowl supplies are adequate for the light and
aggressive demand.
