SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance


Egg prices in New York are 2 cents lower for Medium and larger sizes.
Regional and California prices are steady.  The undertone is steady to
lower.  Offerings are light to mostly moderate.  Retail and food service
demand is in a range of light to fairly, generally light to moderate.
Supplies vary and are moderate to heavy in the Northeast, light to
moderate in the Southeast, while moderate in the remaining regions.
Market activity is slow to moderate.  Breaking stock offerings are
light for the moderate to fairly good demand.  Light type fowl supplies
are adequate for full-time processing schedules.
