SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (762), 
FOREST (1,394), MERIDIAN (400), MACON (401), HOUSTON (344), 
WEST POINT (403), AND GRENADA (161) ON Mon Oct 9, 2017.

Receipts:     3,865           Last Week:     4,671        Year:    3,866

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows and bulls sold steady. 
Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher and heifers sold 1.00 to 6.00 higher. 
The supply included 10 percent slaughter cows and 11 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 57 percent 
steers and 43 percent heifers, with an estimated 10 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
