SUMMARY OF 7 MISSISSIPPI CATTLE AUCTIONS HELD IN HATTIESBURG (1,128), 
FOREST (1,301), MERIDIAN (658), MACON (477), HOUSTON (228), 
WEST POINT (496), AND GRENADA (383) ON Mon Oct 2, 2017.

Receipts:     4,671           Last Week:     5,057        Year:    4,618

   Compared to last Monday, slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower 
and bulls sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Feeder steers sold steady and heifers 
sold mixed. 
The supply included 8 percent slaughter cows and 12 percent 
pairs/replacements. The feeder supply included 60 percent 
steers and 40 percent heifers, with an estimated 13 percent of the 
feeder supply weighing over 600 lbs.
