This report does not represent all animals at the sale on this date.*** Cleveland County Agr & Lstk Exchange, Shelby, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Tuesday Oct 10, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 429 Last Week: 457 Last Year: 287 Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were 3.00 higher. Feeder cattle were 4.00 to 8.00 higher. Good demand with moderate market activity and offerings. Quality of cattle average to attractive. Slaughter cows made up 14 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, replacement cows 6 percent, and feeders 78 percent. The feeder supply included 31 percent steers, 36 percent heifers, and 33 percent bulls. Near 23 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
