This report does not represent all animals at the sale on this date.*** WNC Regional Livestock Center, Canton, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Monday Oct 9, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 231 Last Week: 470 Last Year: 290 Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were mostly steady. Feeder cattle were 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Good demand with moderate buyer activity. Light offerings with quality of cattle plain to average. Slaughter cows made up 11 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 5 percent, replacement cows 1 percent, and feeders 83 percent. The feeder supply included 29 percent steers, 46 percent heifers, and 26 percent bulls. Near 26 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
