This report does not represent all animals at the sale on this date.** Harward Brothers Livestock Market, Turnersburg, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Monday Oct 9, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 791 Last Week: 1278 Last Year: 568 Compared to last week, slaughter cows were mostly 1.00 higher with bulls mostly 4.00 higher. Feeder cattle were mostly 2.00 to 10.00 higher. Moderate demand, buyer activity and offerings. Quality of cattle plain to average. Slaughter cows made up 21 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 3 percent, replacement cows 1 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 75 percent. The feeder supply included 27 percent steers, 37 percent heifers, and 35 percent bulls. Near 23 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
