This report does not represent all animals at the sale on this date.*** Harward Brothers Livestock Market, Turnersburg, NC Weighted Average Auction Report Monday Oct 2, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 1278 Last Week: 1326 Last Year: 750 Compared to last week, slaughter cows were mostly steady with bulls mostly steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder steers and heifers were mostly 1.00 to 7.00 higher with bulls mostly steady to 6.00 lower. Moderate demand, market activity and offerings. Quality of cattle plain to average. Slaughter cows made up 16 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, replacement cows 2 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 80 percent. The feeder supply included 27 percent steers, 36 percent heifers, and 37 percent bulls. Near 20 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
