LR_LS149 Little Rock, AR Thu Oct 5, 2017 USDA-AR Dept of Ag Market News County Line Sale, Ratcliff, AR Weighted Average Report for Wednesday Oct 4, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 135 Last week: 115 Last year: NR Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 2.00-4.00 higher on a light test with some classes not tested. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs sold 3.00-5.00 lower, over 600 lbs sold 1.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady. Slaughter bulls not well tested. Supply included 75 feeder calves; 35 feeder yearlings; 3 replacement cows; 21 slaughter cows and 1 slaughter bull. The feeder supply included 43 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, and 19 percent bulls. Near 32 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs. Value added denotes calves weaned at least 45 days and have had 2 sets of preconditioning shots.
