LR_LS125 Little Rock, AR Wed Oct 4, 2017 USDA-AR Coop Ext Service Arkansas Cattle Auction, LLC - Searcy, AR Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 10/03/2017 Receipts: 1670 Last Week: 838 Year Ago: 1310 Compared to last week: Feeder steers were 3.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers firm to 4.00 higher. Slaughter cows were mostly 3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold near steady. Supply included about 1185 feeder calves, 300 feeder yearlings, 85 replacement cows, 85 slaughter cows and 15 slaughter bulls. Feeder supply about 50 percent English breed and English crosses, 25 percent Exotic breed and Exotic crosses, 25 percent Brahma and Brahma crosses, and 0 percent Holstein and dairy breeds. Feeder supply consisting of 57 percent steers and bulls with 43 percent heifers. Value added denotes weaned steer and heifer calves or yearlings with two rounds of IBR shots.
