Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 10/19/2017

   Compared to last week:  Yearling steers too lightly tested to make
meaningful price comparison.  Yearling heifers steady to 2.00 lower.
Steer and heifer calves not well tested for comparison.  Good demand
for this offering of yearlings, moderate for this light run of calves.
Flesh condition ranged from light to heavy, with most carrying a moderate
to heavy amount as they were out of backgrounding yards.  Many full loads
in the offering again this week.  19 percent were steers; 81 percent
heifers.  91 percent weighing over 600 lbs.  Next week, Oct 26, expecting
5,000 head of feeder cattle starting at 9:00am with many new crop calves
on the books.
