IS_LS132 Indianapolis, IN Tue Nov 14, 2017 USDA-IN Dept of Ag Market News Indianapolis Stockyard, Rockville, IN Weighted Average Report for 11/14/2017 Receipts: 323 Last Week: 437 Year Ago: 300 Compared to last week slaughter steers and heifers were 3.00 to 5.00 lower with lower packer bids this week with a good offering on choice and prime cattle. Slaughter cows and bulls were 4.00 to 6.00 lower with a few minor exceptions of higher bulls from the previous week. Feeder cattle were trending higher with a good offering of value added and fancy type feeders. Feeder cattle consisted of 47% over 600 lbs. Slaughter cattle consisted of 35% steers, 23% heifers, 3% Holsteins,11% cows, and 4% bulls. ***This report reflects the majority of cattle sold with a USDA grade, weight, and sex.
