Vincennes, IN Weighted Average Report for 10/18/2017 Receipts: 296 Last Week: 451 Year Ago: 266 Compared to last week slaughter steers and heifers were 2.00 to 3.00 from the previous week with a good offering of high quality steers and heifers. Slaughter cows were mostly steady with instances of 2.00 higher with slaughter bulls trending lower but not measurably so. Feeder cattle were significantly lower from the previous week but some active bidding on fancy and value added type feeders. Feeder cattle consisted of 20% over 600 lbs. Slaughter cattle consisted of 21% steers, 18% heifers, 1% Holsteins, 11% cows, and 3% bulls. ***This report reflects the majority of cattle sold with a USDA grade, weight, and sex.
