Vincennes, IN Weighted Average Report for 10/04/2017 Receipts: 379 Last Week: 317 Year Ago: 301 Compared to last week slaughter steers and heifers were 2.00 higher from the previous week with still little inquiry from the packer but a good offering of high quality steers and heifers. Slaughter cows were mostly steady with slaughter bulls trending higher but not measurably so. Feeder cattle were 2,00 to 3.00 lower from the previous week but active bidding on fancy and value added type feeders. Feeder cattle consisted of 19% over 600 lbs. Slaughter cattle consisted of 27% steers, 12% heifers, 5% Holsteins, 11% cows, and 1% bulls. ***This report reflects the majority of cattle sold with a USDA grade, weight, and sex.
