CO_LS752 Columbia, SC Tue Oct 10, 2017 USDA-SC Dept of Ag Market News Chester Livestock Exchange, Chester, SC Weighted Average Report for Tuesday Oct 10, 2017 Cattle Receipts: 275 Last week: 496 Last year: 345 Compared to last week all classes of feeder cattle unevenly steady, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls mostly steady based on limited comparable sales. Light offering of average quality cattle with active buyer participation. Light demand for fleshy cattle. Slaughter cows made up 15 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 2 percent, replacement cows 3 percent, other cows 1 percent, and feeders 79 percent. The feeder supply included 26 percent steers, 43 percent heifers, and 31 percent bulls.
