GL_LS795 Greeley, CO Fri Oct 13, 2017 USDA-CO Dept of Ag Market News Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary Receipts: 6304 Last Week: 6304 Last Year: 6948 Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 400 lbs were sharply higher, 400- 600 lbs were mostly steady to 3.00 lower, and steers over 600 lbs traded unevenly steady on a light test. Feeder heifers under 650 lbs traded unevenly steady, and over 650 lbs were too light to test, but mostly higher undertones noted. Trade activity and buyer demand were moderate to good. The feeder supply consisted of approximately 57 percent steers, 42 percent heifers, and 1 percent bull calves. Feeder cattle over 600 lbs made up approximately 40 percent of the supply. Combined weighted average report for 5 Colorado auctions this week included: Livestock Exchange, Centennial Livestock, Sterling Livestock, La Junta Livestock, and Winter Livestock.
