Feeder heifers under 600 lbs traded 2.00 to 11.00 higher, while those over 600 lbs were too lightly tested for an accurate trend. Slaughter cows, bulls and bred stock were not tested last week, therefore no trend is available. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. In feeder cattle, the run consisted of 59 percent steers and 41 percent heifers, with 26 percent weighing over 600 pounds. The total run consisted of 87 percent feeder cattle, 2 percent bred stock and the balance being mostly slaughter cows and bulls.
