Collins, CO Sheep and Goat Report for Wednesday November 15, 2017 Total Receipts: 2470 Last Week: 1803 Year Ago: 1437 Sheep Receipts: 1144 Last Week: 910 Year Ago: 794 Goat Receipts: 1326 Last Week: 893 Year Ago: 643 Compared to last week: Slaughter lambs were mostly steady. Feeder lambs were unevenly steady. Slaughter ewes and bucks were sharply higher. In goats, slaughter kids were 5.00 to 10.00 lower, while slaughter nannies were unevenly steady. Slaughter billies were unevenly steady and slaughter wethers were 5.00 to sharply lower. Trade activity and buyer demand was moderate to good. The sheep supply consisted of approximately 28 percent slaughter lambs and 35 percent feeder lambs with the balance being slaughter ewes and bucks. The goat supply consisted of approximately 70 percent slaughter kids, 15 percent slaughter nannies/does with the balance being slaughter billies and wethers. Sheep and lambs sold on a per cwt basis and goats sold on a per head basis unless otherwise noted.
