Cow and Bull Auction Report for 11/15/2017

     **Special Cow Sale**    Saturday, November 25th at 12:00 P.M.**
      **Special Pre-Vac Sale** Friday, December 1st at 8:00 A.M.**

   Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded 2.00-3.00 
higher with high dressing breaking and boning cows 5.00-6.00 higher. 
Demand was good on a moderate supply.  The supply consisted of 46 
percent slaughter cows, 31 percent bred cows, 4 percent cow/calf pairs,
7 percent slaughter bulls, 6 percent stocker/feeder cows and 7 percent 
calves.

   Slaughter Bulls:  Yield Grade 1-2  1145-2200 lbs average dressing 
77.00-83.00 per cwt, high dressing 84.50-88.00, low dressing 68.00-
77.50.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-6 yr old 832-1515 lb cows in the
2nd-3rd stage 1100.00-1475.00 per head, 1st stage 1000.00-1150.00 per 
head; 7 yrs to broken mouth 1010-1540 lb cows in the 2nd-3rd stage 
900.00-1075.00 per head.  Medium and Large 2  2-7 yr old 665-1415 lb 
cows in the 2nd-3rd stage 825.00-1025.00 per head; Short-solid to 
broken mouth 895-1410 lb cows in the 2nd-3rd stage 675.00-850.00 per 
head. 

   Stocker and Feeder Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  Open or unchecked 
cows and heiferettes, 18 to 24 months old 702-1185 lb heifers 93.00-
136.00 per cwt; 2-3 yr old 840-1445 lb heifers 70.00-97.00 per cwt;
4-7 yr old 640-1425 lb cows 50.00-82.00 per cwt.

   Cow-Calf Pairs:  Few Medium and Large 1-2  3-6 yr old 1130-1200 lb 
cows with 100-250 lb calves 1175.00-1475.00 per pair; 7 yr to short-
solid mouth 1137-1140 lb cows with 150-200 lb calves 1000.00-1100.00 
per pair.
