Yearlings sold mostly steady to 3.00 higher. Demand was good on a heavy supply. The supply included a 220 hd package of 896 lb steers that traded sharply higher. The fall calf run came early to the Acorn Belt as the receipts since August 1st have been 39 percent higher than those in 2015 and 2016. Rain continues to be hit or miss with most pasture conditions getting worse. Many producers are beginning to worry about their water supplies drying up. Feeder cattle supply included 54 percent Steers, 38 percent Heifers, and 8 percent Bulls.
