Higher volumes were offered than at the prior event. That is viewed as a factor in weaker prices. Also mentioned is perceived buyer resistance to recent higher prices. This year January-June, New Zealand butter exports, 129,929 MT, decreased 11.8 percent from the same period one year earlier, according to Eucolait. January-June, the range of percentage changes year to date in cumulative export volumes varies from -30.3 percent in January, to June's -11.8 percent.
